What type of industry training is being provided?

Three separate training tracks are being offered.

  1. NARRSO Ride Inspection – NAARSO’s two-day outreach training program providing 16 hours of CEU’s and the ability to test on day three.
    • Choose the PERMANENT track for amusement park or an attraction with permanent rides like a family entertainment center or zoo.

  2. Participatory Play Training – NARRSO two-day training for inflatables, bungees and other attractions.

Who will be teaching the NARRSO classes and GOSA workshops?

Industry professionals, regulators, experts and manufactures will present and lead the training sessions.

Will testing be offered?

Testing will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 for the following tracks.  Two intensive test review sessions will be provided the morning before the test so that attendees have the greatest chance of passing the exam.  Registration for training and workshops does not include the testing fee.  The fee for NAARSO testing will be paid the day of testing directly to the NAARSO testing proctor on site.  The fee for Person In Charge is required to be paid at registration as seating is limited for this certification.

  • What else?

May I register participants for more than one track?

Yes.  Once you complete registration for the initial track, you may select a different track from the 2020 Conference Tracks menu, and work through the process again until you have all of your registrations complete.  Once you have finished with your final selection, click through the payment process to send your registrations.

What about food?

Kalahari has five restaurants on-site. Because the resort is a large property, and the restaurants are a considerable walk from the convention center, a pre-paid lunch plan is offered. A hearty lunch will be served adjacent to your classroom.  Select this option during the registration process.

Where can I stay?

Conference organizers have negotiated great rates at Kalahari Resort so you can stay, learn and play all in one location. $119 a night gets you a nice room that includes water park passes for each person staying in the room (up to four). The $29 resort fee has been waived for our conference attendees.  Click HERE for more information.

Is parking free at Kalahari Resort?

Yes. Daytime parking is free for conference attendees and overnight parking is free for those staying at the hotel.

Are there industry events outside of conference hours?

On Monday evening, the GOSA will be hosting it’s annual Hit the Road Party & Opening Reception at Kalahari.  You may select to attend this event and pre-pay during the registration process.
